I'll let you in on a secret......this used to be me before I became a dog trainer

My name is Colleen and my first Rottie was an angel, so when it was time to get another dog I couldn't go past the breed for my new companion.  This time however, it was a whole different story: I nearly returned her to the breeder 3 times by the time she was 6 months old!

She was 'out of control' and nothing I did worked.  I followed all the advice from people who 'knew what they were talking about' and it all just seemed the more I pushed her, the more she pushed back and she just got worse.

It never occurred to me to hire a dog trainer so I ended up looking for a dog training course in a bid to learn what I should be doing.  As soon as I started the TAFE course, my lecturer said "you're going to be a dog trainer one day".  "No way" I said, and the rest is history.

Why I went on to train people like you, is that there is a huge disparity between what we've always done and what we should be doing with evidence from scientific studies of how dogs think, feel and behave - and none of it has anything to do with being the 'Alpha', 'The Top Dog' or 'The Pack Leader'
